Here is a short horror story about the Egyptian mummy.
In a remote village on the banks of the Nile, there was an ancient legend about a mummy buried in a hidden tomb far from the eyes of outsiders. According to the legend, this mummy belonged to a high priest of the old gods and was believed to carry a powerful curse.
A daring young man named Ahmed decided to uncover the secret of the lost tomb. After weeks of searching and studying, Ahmed discovered a hidden entrance to a tomb beneath the ruins of an old temple. Inside the tomb, everything was preserved as if time had stood still. The mummy was encased in a beautifully decorated sarcophagus.
However, as Ahmed approached to open the sarcophagus, he felt something unnatural in the air. There was no sound, but there was a strong sensation of being watched. When Ahmed opened the sarcophagus and looked at the mummy, he saw its eyes, which were nothing more than wrinkles in the form of an ancient drawing, but to his astonishment, they seemed to follow his movements.
The moment Ahmed touched the mummy, he felt a strange warmth in his hands, and faint whispers began to echo around him. These whispers warned that anyone who dared disturb the priest’s sleep would face dire consequences. Ahmed wasn’t sure if it was a hallucination or reality, but he was terrified and decided to leave as quickly as possible.
As he tried to escape, things around him began to move in strange ways, as if the tomb were waking up. The eyes painted on the walls glowed with vivid colors, and the sounds grew louder. When Ahmed reached the entrance of the tomb, he found that the path he had taken was mysteriously sealed.
After great effort, Ahmed finally found an alternate exit, but he was in a state of terror. When he returned to his village, he told everyone what had happened. Most didn’t believe him, but Ahmed knew the truth: he had disturbed something that should have been left in peace.
From that day on, the tomb became a subject of frightening tales in the village, and Ahmed lived with the memories of that horrifying night he wished he had never experienced.
