Eternal Darkness
Sara loved reading. She enjoyed immersing herself in different worlds, getting to know intriguing characters, and feeling the thrill of adventure and excitement.
She loved fantasy, science fiction, historical, and romantic novels. But more than anything else, she loved horror stories.
She enjoyed the feeling of fear, suspense, and mystery. She loved stories that made her sleep with the light on.
So when she heard about a new book called "Eternal Darkness", she didn't hesitate to buy it. The book was written by an unknown author, and there was no information about him on the cover or the last page.
All that was there was the title of the book and a picture of a closed door with a warning sign saying: "Do Not Open". The book seemed intriguing and mysterious. Sara was excited to read it.
That night, Sara returned to her small apartment, made herself a cup of tea, and lay down on her bed. She took the book from her bag and opened it.
There was no title page, table of contents, or introduction. The story began immediately. Sara started reading and immersed herself in the words.
The story was about a man named David, who worked as a private investigator. He was tracking down a serial killer who was killing his victims in gruesome ways, and leaving behind mysterious messages written in blood.
The killer called himself "Eternal Darkness", claiming to be acting on behalf of a higher power. David was determined to stop him, uncover his identity, and find out his motives.
Sara was fascinated by the story. She felt tense, curious, and terrified. The author described the scenes with realistic and frightening details. He created an atmosphere of horror and mystery.
He made Sara wonder what would happen next, who the killer was, and what the higher power he followed was. She read quickly, flipping through the pages.
But after a few hours, Sara started feeling something else. Something she had never felt before. Something strange and disturbing. Something wrong.
Sara began to feel that the story was affecting her in an unnatural way. She began to feel that she wasn't just a reader, but a part of the story.
She began to feel that she was living what David was living, seeing what he was seeing, and hearing what he was hearing. She began to feel that she was communicating with the killer, receiving his messages, and confronting him. She began to feel that she was in danger.
Sara tried to ignore this feeling, considering it just an effect of the story. She tried to focus on reading and enjoying the story. But the feeling persisted.
In fact, it became stronger and clearer. Sara began to feel fear and panic. She began to feel that she wasn't in her apartment, but in another place. A dark, cold, and terrifying place called "Eternal Darkness".
Sara wanted to stop reading, close the book, and forget everything. But she couldn't. She was addicted to the story. She wanted to know the ending.
She wanted to know who the killer was, what the higher power was, and what would happen to David. She wanted to know what would happen to her.
Sara kept reading, not noticing the time. She didn't realize that the night had passed, and the sun had risen. She didn't notice that her phone had rung, and her friend had called her.
She didn't notice that her apartment door had opened, and her mother had entered. She didn't notice anything, except the book.
Sara's mother was worried about her. She hadn't heard from her for two days. She tried calling her, but she didn't answer. She decided to go to her apartment and check on her.
Maybe she was sick, or busy, or in trouble. Sara's mother loved her daughter and cared about her.
Sara's mother arrived at Sara's apartment and used the spare key to open the door. She entered the apartment and called out: "Sara? Sara? Are you here?" She didn't hear any response.
She felt worried. She looked around and saw that the apartment was in a mess. The dishes and plates were piled up in the kitchen. The clothes and papers were scattered in the living room. The lights, TV, and computer were on. It looked like she hadn't left the apartment for days.
Sara's mother went to Sara's bedroom, opened the door, and what she saw there made her scream loudly. Above the bed, she saw Sara dead.
Her eyes were open, as if she were looking at her. And in her hand, she was holding a book. A black book, with a red title: "Eternal Darkness".
Sara's mother collapsed on the floor, crying. She couldn't believe what she saw. She couldn't understand what had happened. How did Sara die? What is this book? What is the story she was reading? And what is its relation to her death?
At that moment, she heard another voice. A voice that didn't belong to this world. A scary and terrifying voice. A voice saying
